Discussion about : Hank / Count / Tex / Denier /

What is Hank?
840 yards is one hank. That 840 yards have to stay in a coal position.

What is Count ?
It is a number. So, number of hanks of 840 yards in 1 lb is called count. Count is measured by two systems. They are

            1. Length/unit weight
            2. Weight/ Unit length

Example for length/unit weight

                                             60's = (60*840) yards
                                                     = 502400 yards

Weight / unit length is measured in two ways:
                                           1. Tex      and      2. Denier

What is Tex ?
No: of grams of 1000 m yarn in 1 pound is called tex
For example, 20 tex yarn means the weight of 1000m yarn is 20 grams.

What is Denier ?
No: of grams of 9000m yarn in 1 lb is called denier.
For example, 50 den means, the weight of 9000 m yarn is 50 grams.
